But then I got to fill Lucas in on the tooth fairy. I also found my mother’s certificate for passing her driver’s exam. Wild what my mother has kept over the years. I was giving her a hard time but then I realized what will be in my closet when I am 54. Sorry mom – I just noted your age. But if you ask me…you are pretty darn young!

We can’t believe it…our baby girl, Nina, will be turning two on Friday! Where in the world did the last two years go? The actual thought of her turning two brings tears to my eyes…I think because now she will no longer be a baby. However, she is still our baby!

A little about our Nina…she is wild and fearless! You should see her in the pool, the first night we went to our neighborhood pool she just jumped off the side into 5 feet deep water (FEARLESS!), no worries - I (her mommy) went flying in right after her. I put her back on the side of the deck pool and she went for it again! Needless to say, I will not be at the pool by myself much this summer with her and Lucas. She is also very bull headed - she knows exactly what she wants and if she doesn’t get it…you will hear her scream from a mile away.

Yes, she is a handful now but I can’t wait to see her when she is older.

Besides being fearless and bull headed, she is beautiful and sweet. We have taught her how to say love and she knows that hugs and kisses go with the word!

Nina, I wish you a VERY Happy Birthday! You are my baby!

Love,

Mommy

After years of paying for hosting and a constant badgering (I’ll hear it for using that word I’m sure) from Kerrie, the site is finally starting to come around. We’ll see how it goes. Perhaps Kerrie will feed and maintain it. Only time will tell.

After what seemed like an eternity of rainfall, we finally have another 70 degree day. I’m working with my window open on the 3rd floor and can hear the kids screaming bloody murder in the back yard. I suspect Lucas did not take a nap today because the screaming is mostly coming from him.

This has no doubt been the longest winter ever! Thank god it ends tomorrow. Perhaps it’s not the seasons that are any different but with the kids getting older, housing them indoors for months on end gets a little old. They are just as stir crazy as Kerrie and I. To say I’m looking forward to the warmer days of spring is an understatement.
